Huckleberry Youth Programs

Thank you to everyone who attended Huckleberry's second Theory of Change event last night in Marin County!

"Raising Resilience: Community Coalitions for Youth Development" was a powerful conversation in partnership with Marin Community Foundation, San Rafael High School, and Huckleberry’s ACE (Access to College Equity) Academy.

The discussion highlighted ways in which community members, donors, and nonprofits can stand in solidarity with youth and families, working together to support growth, resilience, and success.

A huge thank you to our incredible panel, including: Shirin Vakharia, Senior Program Director at Marin Community Foundation; Judy Schwerin, Wellness Coordinator at San Rafael High School; and ACE Academy student, Yazuara, who shared her journey as a first-generation college student. Yazuara was recently accepted by 7 colleges, including UC Berkeley!

Special thanks to our Executive Director, Douglas Styles, for leading the discussion and sharing our new Theory of Change, which serves as a roadmap guiding Huckleberry Youth Programs into the future.

The thoughtful Q&A and vibrant energy were a reminder of what’s possible when we work collaboratively in support of our youth.

Together, we’re building stronger pathways toward a brighter, more equitable future for young people in the Bay Area.
