An Anonymous Donor Made a Client’s Dreams Come True

by

Look at those smiles! This is Ciara, a Huckleberry Advocacy & Response Team (HA&RT) Intervention Specialist, with Maryjane, a young woman who has been a Huckleberry client for many years. Thanks to an anonymous donor, Maryjane had an amazing night cheering on the Warriors from court side seats and enjoying the VIP treatment with food […]

Huckleberry House Client – Sorinne

by

It’s quite possible my circumstances wouldn’t be as positive today if it weren’t for me running away to Huckleberry House when I was 14. I’m so grateful services like this exist for troubled youth. I was able to safely escape an abusive situation and move into a healthier environment thanks to Huckleberry House. I hope […]

Huckleberry House Family Counseling Clients – The Paoli Family

by

We have participated in family therapy with Huckleberry House and it has been the single best mental health service provider we’ve encountered in the 3+ years of parenting our now adopted teenager. Our daughter has difficulties trusting people and our therapist was able to engage her. We’ve had some memorable moments at Huckleberry House and […]

“My life before Huckleberry was a downward spiral.” – Christina’s Story

by

I would not be where I am today if not for Huckleberry. The leadership skills I’ve gained and the relationships I’ve made through Huckleberry have had a huge impact on my life. My life before Huckleberry was a downward spiral. I was constantly fighting with my mother and getting into trouble in and out of […]

“Huckleberry was life saving for me when I had nowhere to go.” – Yusuf’s Story

by

In 1997, at age 11, Yusuf Hansia moved to Mill Valley, CA from Bahrain to live with his grandparents. He remembers the culture shock and always being asked to repeat himself two or three times because of his accent. But culture shock wasn’t the only issue for Yusuf. He was raised predominantly by his grandparents […]

“My world changed the first time I walked in Huckleberry’s doors.” – Lateefah’s Story

by

My mom was a single mom and I was raised in the Western Addition. I had a couple of friends who tested positive for HIV, and those I found myself in peer relationships with were struggling to find place and space in the Western Addition. Drugs had really surrounded our community and there weren’t a […]

Huckleberry Youth Programs

Huckleberry Youth Programs is participating in AIDS Walk San Francisco this Sunday to raise crucial funds for our Teen Health Clinics in San Francisco and San Rafael!

At a time when funding for essential services is being cut, it’s more important than ever to stand up for our youth.

Huckleberry’s clinics are a lifeline for youth, providing free, compassionate care to teens and young adults, including:

✅ HIV & STI testing
✅ Physical, sexual & reproductive healthcare
✅ Gender-affirming care
✅ PrEP
✅ Mental health support
✅ Health education in schools
✅ Support with basic needs
…and so much more!

Let’s show up for youth and help protect access to care that saves lives.

Walk with us or donate here: sf.aidswalk.net/Team/View/209625/Huckleberry-Youth-Programs-7628

🌱 Big news from Huckleberry's Youth Justice division. We’re excited to announce SEEDS OF CHANGE. 🌱

The San Francisco Youth Justice Initiative team at Huckleberry is now officially SEEDS of Change, or just SEEDS for short! 💫 🌱

SEEDS is still part of the SF Youth Justice Initiative, but this new name — CHOSEN BY YOUTH, FOR YOUTH— better reflects our mission and energy. 💚

SEEDS is all about growth, empowerment, and real change for young people in San Francisco.

SEEDS is a prevention program in Huckleberry’s Justice Division working with middle school students and families to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. That means supporting students to stay in school, succeed in class, and stay out of the juvenile justice system.

We're honored to collaborate with amazing partners like @colemanadvocates, @ycd_jobs, and @lsc.sf @disabilityrightsca & @youthlawcenter in SEEDS' important work. 💚
