Dear Huckleberry Family,
We are overwhelmed by the love and support we have received after last week’s fire at Geary and Parker. As a result of the fire, our building at 3310 Geary Blvd. is unusable, and we are currently in search of space for relocation.
THANK YOU to all who have donated and reached out to provide comfort and encouragement during this uncertain time.
Huckleberry’s staff is safe. The Huckleberry Youth Health Center, Huckleberry House, Huckleberry’s Community Assessment & Resource Center (CARC), and Huckleberry’s Marin programs are all fully functional and services have not been interrupted at those locations.
The Huckleberry Wellness Academy-SF, our college access program for first-generation, low-income youth, was headquartered at 3310 Geary. We are currently looking for new space for them so that programming can restart as soon as possible. Our Administrative staff has relocated temporarily to other Huckleberry programs throughout San Francisco and Marin.
We will continue to update you on our progress toward rebuilding. At this time, we don’t know the financial extent of the damage. We do know that now more than ever, we need the community’s support. As we take next steps, please consider a 100% tax-deductible donation, purchase a ticket to our Spring Gala on Thurs. April 11 at the Four Seasons, or contribute an item to our Spring Gala auction.
