Matt Vanderwerf

Matthew is a results-driven HR leader, currently Director of Human Resources at The Health Trust. He has extensive experience in HR management, strategic planning, compensation, and organizational leadership, overseeing all HR operations, policy, and strategic transformation. Key achievements include developing an HR infrastructure that significantly cut costs, creating an equity-driven compensation structure that boosted employee satisfaction, and securing over $250,000 in workforce development grants. Matthew improves employee engagement and operational efficiency through strong business acumen. He co-founded and chairs the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits HR Workgroup, serving over 100 Bay Area nonprofits. He holds an M.A. in Public Administration, HR, and a B.A. in History from The College at Brockport, SUNY.
