Huckleberry Young Professionals Board Information Session – Wed. Feb. 21, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

by

If you’re looking to give back to the community while gaining leadership experience, look no further! Huckleberry Youth Programs, a Bay Area non-profit providing support for undeserved youth and families, is starting a Young Professionals Board. We are looking for an energetic group of volunteers who are passionate about philanthropic work, and interested in creatively using their talents to increase our marketing/outreach and fundraising efforts within the community.

During the session, we will go over our organization, the vision for the Board, details about participation, with time provided for questions. Enjoy complimentary drinks (beer and wine), and light bites inside of fresh, street art gallery, 1 AM, while learning more about what we do. Space is limited so please reserve your spot asap!

Information on Huckleberry Youth Programs: For over 50 years, Huckleberry Youth Programs has partnered with teens and families to overcome adversity. Huckleberry strengthens families and empowers young people with services that promote safety in times of crisis, physical and emotional health and well-being, social justice in communities facing inequality, and educational success. When all youth succeed, the entire community is stronger.

*Note: If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Huckleberry Development Associate, Gina Pan at: gpan@huckleberryyouth.org or (415)668-2622 x.228.

Huckleberry's Community Assessment & Resource Center (CARC) recently collaborated with the National Assessment Center Association @nacassociation on a brief overview of how Assessment Centers create a single point of access to community-based resources and supports for youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

Assessment Centers, like Huckleberry's CARC, identify underlying issues and needs of youth and families and partner with them to access individualized services and/or resources, diverting them from further involvement in the juvenile justice system.
