Thank you to all who attended the Huckleberry Community Assessment & Resource Center (CARC) 20th Anniversary event on Thursday, Sept. 20! Huckleberry’s CARC has provided case management to 7,494 San Francisco arrested youth in the past two decades!!!!
On average, CARC sees 270 non-violent offenders each year, the majority of whom are police-delivered. Seventy-two percent of young people are not rearrested within one year of the program.
The CARC 20th Anniversary celebration was attended by our collaborators, funders like the SF Department of Children, Youth and Their Families, San Francisco District 5 Supervisor Vallie Brown, Huckleberry Board Members, former and current Huckleberry staff, and a large group of community supporters. Here’s to another 20 years of diverting arrested youth from the juvenile justice system, keeping them in school, and keeping them healthy!
