Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)What is Bulimia? Bulimia Nervosa is an eating disorder in which a person has frequent episodes of "binge eating," recurrent "purging," that is, attempts to undo the effects of the binge by: self-induced vomiting (usually secretive), dieting, excessive exercise, diet pills and laxatives or diuretics. Like those with Anorexia, Bulimics have a distorted perception of their shape and weight and an excessive fear of fat. Following a binge, a person with Bulimia will be subject to mood swings and anxiety about anticipated weight gain. If you think you or someone you know may be suffering from a medical problem, please contact Huckleberry Youth Programs to make an appointment at one of our clinics. Do not leave problems untreated.
