Become a Peer Health Educator (PHE)

Are you interested in joining our team of Peer Health Educators?

PHE's work at our clinics and are responsible for HIV prevention education and health promotion to youth. Responsibilities also include presenting trainings to Huckleberry Youth Programs' staff and other organizations, participation in curriculum development, cooperation with medical clinic and case management staff.

PHE's partcipate in ongoing trainings which include: human sexuality, critical thinking, HIV education, skill building and leadership training, make presentations on health information to groups and individuals, participate in health activities and events, maintain the program and facility (including clerical, reception, research and training tasks), and engage youth in discussion or activities related to health and well-being who are waiting on site for clinical appointments.
