Jasmine Stevenson was born and raised in Marin County and has always been an active part of the community.  As a teenager Jasmine was involved with Marin AIDS Action Project and was in the first group of teens to go through their newly created program, Teen AIDS Action Program (TAAP).  Teen AIDS Action Program (now REACH) is a program offering teen-to-teen education in schools and street outreach around HIV awareness, safer sex, and condom use.  Jasmine went on to receive her BA in Creative Writing and Women’s Health from Sonoma State University in 2001 but never lost her interest in health education.  She completed an internship at Planned Parenthood in San Rafael and quickly became a medical assistant, within 6 months was Assistant Manager and soon after moved into the Clinic Director position.  Jasmine was Clinic Director at Planned Parenthood’s Golden Gate San Rafael clinic for 4 years where she had the wonderful opportunity to work closely with many organizations in the community sharing the same vision of access to reproductive healthcare and sexual health education.   Jasmine enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, watching movies, taking road trips and loves a good laugh.  One of Jasmine’s favorite quotes is, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.”
