Barrio Warriors

The Barrio Warriors-Male Involvement Program (MIP) is a rites-of-passage mentorship and leadership development program in Marin County for young Latino men, ages 12-18, funded by the California Department of Health Services, Office of Family Planning (OFP).

The program works to empower young men through workshops, leadership development, field trips, advocacy, community involvement and the promotion of higher education. The goal of Barrio Warriors is to nurture, guide and empower young men to foster positive development and acknowledge their role as equal partners in the prevention of unwanted teen pregnancy.
