Prior to becoming the agency's Development Associate, Aglae worked at Huckleberry’s Nine Grove Lane Shelter for seven years as a Residential Counselor I & II. She has a BA in Sociology from Sonoma State University and is currently working on her Master’s in Public Administration at San Francisco State University. Aglae grew up in Chicago and is the daughter of Spanish immigrants. Traveling to Spain to visit her relatives over the years has influenced her appreciation of different cultures and ways of life as well as her passion for travel and cooking. When not at work or studying, Aglae can be seen strolling the streets of San Francisco, surveying all the different restaurant menus and getting ideas for her next dinner gathering. Backpacking, hiking, swimming in rivers or lakes, and going to the movies also bring her much joy.
