Jennifer was born in California and raised in Michigan.  She holds a BA in Sociology from University of Michigan (go blue!) and an Ed.M from the Harvard School of Education with specialization in Adolescent Risk and Prevention.  Before coming to Huckleberry Youth Programs, she was the Development Manager and taught after school classes at Streetside Stories, a Bay Area nonprofit that uses storytelling as a vehicle for empowering youth, building community, and helping youth develop a love for writing, reading, and the arts.  While in graduate school, Jennifer taught Peace Games, a violence prevention program, at a K-8 school in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston.  Jennifer also worked in fundraising and program development at WAVE, a national youth development organization.   When she is not working, Jennifer loves to spend time with friends and family, play sports, create art, and travel.
